Its Episode 46! We’re reviewing Creed with Jen and Hannah from Standard Issue! The 2015 sort of spin-off, sort of sequel sequel in the Rocky film series. Michael B. Jordan is the son of Apollo Creed and Sylvester (‘sentient piece of corn beef’) Stallone returns as Rocky. If you have a vague interest in the Rocky series and can get over the fact the main character is called ADONIS Creed then this film is for you. If you have no interest in the Rocky series, or boxing and think a main character called ADONIS Creed is ridiculous then step out of the ring! Scores [supsystic-tables id='48'] Creed scores a respectable score overall of 3.1, considering Helen’s low scoring. If you’re a fan of Rocky and boxing (or The Wire for that matter) you’ll enjoy this - if you don’t then probably don’t bother, unless you have a spare two hours and 13 minutes and no other plans, knock yourself out! What do you guys think? Have you seen Creed? What did you think? Please let us know in the comments below!

The forecast for Episode 45 is for a hurricane - Hurricane Bianca to be precise! Bake (2016) Off Tom and Izi from The British Museum Membercast return to Flixwatcher to review Tom’s choice, a sort of spin-off from RuPaul’s Drag Race starring the one and only Bianca Del Rio. Hurricane Bianca- Flixwatcher Podcast - Image 004   Hurricane Bianca is a sort of school revenge, gross out comedy, with drag. Tom’s description of the film is much, much better than the actual film, it is sort of well-meaning but the delivery (crass, loud and offensive) doesn’t work, generally, women (not in drag) do not fare well either. It doesn’t even feature a realistic representation of a rat. There are much better films that explore drag and LBGT identity that are much better (we reviewed Paris is Burning recently - check that out instead of this) but if you are particularly invested in RuPaul’s Drag Race you might find something to enjoy here.

Scores

[supsystic-tables id='47'] Unsurprisingly Hurricane Bianca doesn’t score highly, across any category. Scoring a Flixwatcher first of a total of 0 from everyone - for repeat viewing. NO ONE wanted to watch this again. Scoring 2.1, it's not great, do let us know @Flixwatcherpod if you braved the forecast and actually enjoyed it! What do you guys think? Have you seen Hurricane Bianca? What did you think? Please let us know in the comments below!

Is it a bird, is it a plane, is it Batman? No its Episode 44! Susan and Gemma from Hayley and Ruth: Two Star return to review Birdman or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance. Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s Award-winning 2014 black comedy starring everyone’s favourite Batman, Michael Keaton. Birdman - Flixwatcher Podcast - Image 003   Birdman is the other film about drumming that came out in 2014 (the other was Whiplash), well it features drumming and filmed to appear as one sequence. If the prospect of Michael Keaton wondering around Times Square in his tight whiteys doesn’t get you interested, we honestly don’t know what will! Featuring a performance from Keaton that balances comedy with sadness so perfectly its a tragedy in itself it didn’t win the Oscar. Supported by fantastic performances from Emma Stone, Naomi Watts, Amy Ryan and Edward Norton (in his pants), more comedy please Ed.   Scores The recommendability was really really high and overall Birdman scores 4.1. Its no Tootsie but we still recommend it, despite the lack of love from Twitter. It would have been higher but Kobi gave it a 2 for small screen score. Boooooooo!   [supsystic-tables id='46']   What do you guys think? Have you seen Birdman? What did you think? Please let us know in the comments below!
